Inventory Management in Flower Store In a Box

Flower Store In a Box offers simple inventory stock management for all products.  This is especially useful when you sell additional gifts or plants etc that have limited numbers of stock availability in store.

Sometimes you may also want to limit stock availability for special occasions like Mothers Day so a product is no longer available once they have all been sold.

You need to activate the inventory stock management for each product uniquely and you can choose whether the item is automatically removed from being in stock by the software.  You can also have an email sent to you when the product does go out of stock.

How does Stock Management Work?

First you need to set a stock level and turn on stock management for each item.

When an item is purchased on your website or manually through your dashboard the software will automatically recount the stock level minus the number of items purchased.

If the stock level gets to zero and you have set it up the software will automatically mark the product as out of stock and customers will no longer be able to order the product.

If you have asked for an email to be sent  when this happens you will get an email.

Start Using Stock Management

To get started you need to visit the inventory page:

Click Products :: Inventory

You can see a list of all of your products and your product categories with inventory options.

Set the number of products available in stock by clicking in the row and entering the number.

Click the Auto Stock button so it’s green if you want the item to be automatically removed from stock when the last product is purchased.

Click the Notifications button so it’s green if you want to be notified by email when it does go out of stock.

Click the Inventory button so it’s green to activate this inventory rule, the inventory will NOT work unless this button is green.

You can work your way through as many of the products as you would like.

In Stock Options

You can mark a product as in stock without reactivating the inventory levels if you would like, for example if you are unsure of stock levels and still want to allow customers to purchase the product.
