Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) helps your website appear in AI-generated responses from tools like ChatGPT, Google's AI Overview, and other answer engines. Instead of just targeting keywords, you write content in a direct question-and-answer format that matches how customers ask questions.
Search engines and AI tools now display summaries at the top of results. Clear, factual answers on your pages increase your chances of being cited when customers search for things like delivery times, pricing, and product details.

Rules for writing good FAQ content
- Keep questions relevant to the specific page they sit on.
- Do not duplicate identical FAQs across multiple location pages.
- Keep answers factually accurate and consistent with the rest of your site.
- Answer concisely, in your own brand voice.
How to add FAQs to your pages
- Collect common customer questions about your operations, products, and delivery.
- Sort those questions by page, so each question belongs to the most relevant page.
- Choose the most important questions for each page. You do not need to list every possible question.
- Open the page in your store builder and scroll to the FAQ tool at the bottom of the page editor.
- Add your question-and-answer pairs and arrange them in a logical order.
- Save the page. Your FAQs will display as an expandable list and will include structured data markup automatically, which helps search engines and AI tools read and use your answers.
