Same-day cutoff countdown timer
The Same Day Cut Off Countdown Timer displays a live countdown on your website showing customers how long they have left to order for same-day delivery. It creates urgency and prompts undecided customers to complete their order before they miss the cutoff, rather than coming back later and potentially not ordering at all.
What you can do here
- Edit the message shown alongside the countdown, for example, "Order in the next 2 hours for same-day delivery!"
- Use the InsertTime tag to automatically insert the countdown time into your message, so it updates itself without you needing to edit it each time
- Set the actual cutoff time that the countdown works from
Step by step
- Go to Design Dashboard > Same Day Cut Off Countdown Timer.
- Edit the message shown alongside the countdown.
- Add the InsertTime tag where you want the countdown time to appear in your message, so it updates automatically.
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Checkout Options and find the Same Day Cut Off section.
- Update the cutoff time there. The countdown timer on your website will automatically reflect it.
Tips
- Keep your message short and clear so customers understand exactly what they need to do before time runs out.
- Use the InsertTime tag rather than typing the time yourself, so the message never goes out of date.
- Double-check your cutoff time is set correctly under Checkout Options, as this is what the countdown actually runs on.
