Request for Google reviews

Flower Store In a Box can automatically send a review request email to customers after their order is marked as delivered. This is one of the most effective ways to build up Google reviews without any manual effort.

How to set it up

  1. Find your Google review link. In Google Maps or Google Business Profile, click "Get more reviews" to find your review URL.
  2. Go to Settings > Notifications & Workflow in your dashboard.
  3. Add your Google review link to the review request email template.
  4. Enable the automated review request.

The request is sent automatically when an order status is changed to Delivered.

Google reviews vs product reviews

These are two different things. Google Business reviews (the star rating on your Google Maps listing) are separate from Google product reviews (star ratings that appear on individual products in Google Shopping).

  • Google Business reviews — what most florists want to build. Appear on your Google Maps listing and in local search. Set up through your Google Business Profile.
  • Google product reviews — appear as star ratings on individual products in Google Shopping results. Require a separate sign-up with Google's product reviews program and a monthly review feed. This is an advanced setup — contact support if you want to explore this.

Ask for one thing at a time

Do not ask for both a Google Business review and a product review in the same message. Customers who receive two review requests usually ignore both. Decide which matters most to you — for most florists, Google Business reviews have a bigger impact on local search visibility — and ask for that one consistently.

SMS review requests

You can also send review requests by SMS. See the SMS order notifications article for how to set this up. As with email, do not send both SMS and email review requests for the same order.
