A discarded order is an order a customer started on your website but didn`t complete. This might be because their credit card was declined, you don`t deliver to their location on that date, or some other reason. Discarded orders are kept in a separate view so you can see what`s happening at checkout without cluttering your main order list.
What you can do here
- View orders that customers started but didn`t finish
- Check user tracking or error tracking for an order to understand why it wasn`t completed
Step by step
- Go to Dashboard > Orders > View Pending.
- Search for the order by date, or use the sort by drop-down menu to find it.
- You`ll see orders with the No Payment icon (a money bag with a red circle and slash), which indicates that payment has not been received for the order.
- Open the order to see its details.
- Click the user tracking or error tracking button on that order to see more about why it wasn`t completed.
Tips
- If you see a lot of discarded orders with the same issue, like a location not being deliverable, it might be worth double-checking your delivery settings.
- Use user tracking or error tracking to spot patterns, such as repeated card declines, so you know if there`s a checkout problem to fix.
