Setting up account customers
Account customers are regular business buyers - hospitals, corporate clients, wedding planners, or other florists - who order frequently and need to be invoiced rather than paying at checkout. Account customers can place orders on your website without a credit card and receive a tax invoice instead.
What you can do here
- Create an Account Customer members level for invoiced buyers.
- Assign individual customers to that level so they can order without paying at checkout.
- Set a credit limit if you want to cap how much they can order before paying.
- See account orders flagged separately in your dashboard so you know what to invoice.
Step by step
- Go to Customers in your dashboard.
- Click on Marketing and select Members loyalty level.
- Click Add and create an Account members level (you only need to do this once).
- Search for the customer you want to set up.
- Assign them to the Account members level.
- Set a credit limit if required.
- The customer can now place orders without paying at checkout.
By following these steps, you will create a specific members level called "Accounts," which can be used to identify and tag customers as "Account" customers in your dashboard. This designation will help streamline your invoicing process for regular customers.
