Using a plain text editor
Copying content straight from Word, emails, PDFs, or web pages can bring along hidden formatting that messes with your website`s look. Pasting your content as plain text first strips all that out, so it`s clean, simple, and ready to style using the FSIAB Website Editor.

Mac Using TextEdit
TextEdit may open in Rich Text mode by default, so you need to change it to plain text first.
Step by Step
- Copy your content from Word, an email, a PDF, or a web page .
- Open TextEdit on your Mac and paste the content.
- Click Format in the menu at the top of the screen.
- Select Make Plain Text.
- Copy the cleaned text from TextEdit.
- Paste it into the FSIAB text Editor.
- Apply your required formatting using the editor tools.
Windows Using Notepad/Wordpad
Notepad/Wordpad saves content as plain text automatically, so you do not need to change any formatting settings.
Step by Step
- Copy your content from Word, an email, a PDF, or a web page.
- Open Notepad on your Windows computer.
- Paste the content into Notepad.
- Copy the cleaned text from Notepad.
- Paste it into the FSIAB Text Editor.
- Apply your required formatting using the editor tools.
WordPad can also be used in a similar way. Simply paste your content into WordPad, then copy it back before pasting it into the FSIAB Text Editor.
Using an Online Plain Text Tool
If you don`t have access to Notepad or TextEdit, you can use a free online plain text editor to remove unwanted formatting before adding content to your website.

Step by Step
- Open https://onlinenotepad.org in your web browser.
- Copy your content from Word, an email, a PDF, or a web page.
- Paste the content into the online notepad.
- Copy the cleaned plain text.
- Open the required page in the FSIAB Dashboard.
- Click Edit Content.
- Paste the plain text into the FSIAB Text Editor.
- Apply headings, bold text, links, lists, images, and other formatting using the editor tools.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
