Sometimes you`ll want a customer to pay by card themselves rather than reading their card details out over the phone. This lets you send them a secure payment link so they can complete payment on their own device.
What you can do here
- Take a phone or email order without needing to key in the customer`s card details yourself
- Send the customer a secure link to pay online at their own convenience
- Have the order update automatically once payment is completed
Step by step
- Go to Manual Order in your dashboard.
- Add the customer, products, and delivery or pickup details.
- At payment, choose Pay By Credit Card.
- Send the generated payment link to the customer by email or SMS.
- The order updates to paid automatically once the customer completes payment no need to re-enter anything.
Tips
- This is handy for larger orders where you`d rather not take card details verbally, or for customers who prefer to pay in their own time.
- Check your pending orders list if a customer hasn`t paid yet you can resend the link from there.
