Card Messages
This screen controls the card message options your customers see when placing an order such as occasion labels or suggested messages.
What you can do here
- Add preset card message suggestions
- Edit or remove existing options
- Turn card message suggestions on or off at checkout
- Set the maximum number of characters customers can type in their card message
Step by step
- Go to Settings > Checkout Settings > Card Messages.
- Turn on Card message suggestions if you want customers to see preset options.
- Set the character limit allowed for card messages.
- Save your changes.
Tips
- Keep your character limit generous enough for a heartfelt message, but short enough to fit neatly on a card.
- Refresh your suggested messages seasonally to match occasions like Mother`s Day or Christmas.
- Test the checkout yourself after making changes to see how the card message field looks to customers.
