Minimum order value
Set a minimum order value to stop customers checking out with a cart total that`s too small to be worth your while once delivery and time are factored in.
What you can do here
- Set a minimum dollar amount customers must reach before they can complete checkout
- Protect your margin on small orders
- Remove the minimum at any time by leaving the field blank
Step by step
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Checkout Options
- Find the Minimum Order Value field
- Enter the order value as a plain number, without the $ symbol (for example, enter 50, not $50)
- Leave the field blank if you don`t want a minimum
Tips
- The minimum applies to the cart total only, excluding surcharges and delivery fees
- Customers won`t be able to complete checkout until their cart reaches the amount you`ve set
- Review your minimum from time to time to make sure it still covers your delivery costs

You can also ask the assistant to set or update this for you. Try something like:
- "Set a minimum order value of 40"
- "Remove the minimum order value"
- "What`s my current minimum order value?"
