Your in-store pickup time slots have a start and end time that controls when they`re visible to customers on your site. Once a slot`s cutoff is reached, it disappears from the available options, so you always have enough time to prepare the order before the customer arrives.
There is one known situation where a customer could previously select an expired time slot: if they navigated directly to the checkout page without first choosing a date on the product or cart page, the checkout would auto-select today`s date but the time slot list would not update to apply the cutoff.
This issue has been fixed. Time slots now always reflect the correct cutoff regardless of how the customer reached checkout.
If you test your checkout in a regular browser and then switch to incognito, you may see different time slot availability. This is because your regular browser may have a cached version of the page with different slot data. Incognito mode always loads fresh data, so it reflects the actual current state.
If you notice a discrepancy between normal and incognito browsing, always trust the incognito result as the most accurate.
If a customer manages to place an order for a time slot that has passed your cutoff (e.g. due to a very slow connection while the cutoff time passed mid-checkout), you will need to contact the customer to arrange an alternative time. There is no automatic block at payment - the cutoff only controls which slots appear in the selector.
You can ask the assistant to help you review or adjust your pickup cutoff settings, for example:
