Edit a Category

Getting to edit a category in two ways 

  1. Mouseover VIEW tab in bluebar >> Choose Products from the dropdown >> Product catalogue page opens.

    In The left hand side all the categories on the website will be listed. Pls. click on the edit next to the category to be edited.

     

     

  2. Click on Home tab in blue bar >> Surf to the category >>  click on the EDIT Category (red button).

Add a category

  1. Category Name

    Cannot be edited and not recommended as well.As category name forms part of the URL string, if the ctegory name is changed it will also chnage the URL string leading to broken links in Google. However if its imperative to change the category name, the only way is to add a new category and then move products from the old category to the new one and then delete the new one.

  2. Category Type

    Should not be changed. Same as above

  3. Properties-

    Can be changed by simply typing in the new title

  4. Content -

    Can be changed by typing.

  5. Modify -

    After the changes click on Modify.
